“NU-NU”

Originally her childhood nickname, Nu-Nu was born on canvas out of a desire, to visually represent and explore the freedom of Marlou Fernanda to unapologetically be her authentic self.

Quietly confident, Nu-Nu danced her way through the artist’s paintings to create a narrative of strength and independence. Several years on from Nu-Nu’s birth, she has now evolved into a more developed character through which Fernanda visually navigates the experiences and transitions in life.
